◇Indirect questions are more polite

간접의문문은 좀더 정중하다

Eric has just moved to Niceville.

A : Amy. Where's the nearest station from here?

B : It's around the corner over there.

A : I see. Thanks. Is there a bank near the staion?

B : Yes. Korea bank is right next to the station.

에릭이 Niceville에 막 이사왔다

에이미, 가장 가까운 역이 어디있니?

저기 코너 돌면 있어

그래 고마워 역 근처에 은행 있나?

응, 한국은행이 바로 역 옆에 있어

Where's the nearest station from here?

간접의문문=>>Could you tell me where the nearest station is?

Is there a bank near the staion?

간접의문문=>>Do you know if there's a bank near the station?

Could you tell me what she said?

그녀가 뭐라고 말했는지 말해주시겠어요?

*간접의문문에선 주어 동사가 원래 순서대로 돌아옴

(what is the nearest station -->>where the nearest tation is )

*if 나 whether 아무거나 괜찮다만 if를 많이 씀
