◇be going to ~

you have already decided or planned to do it.

이미 결심했거나 계획함

I decided to drive to work. >> I'm going to drive to work.

내가 운전해서 출근하려고 결심했다. 운전해서 출근할거다

We're going to move to L.A,

LA로 이사가기로 했어

I'm not going to accept the job offer.

그 일자리 제안을 받아들이지 않으려고(이미 결심한거임)

When are you going to go on vacation?

너 휴가 언제 갈거니?

◇going to go = going to

둘다되는데 줄여서 그냥 going to로 많이 하긴함

I'm going to the movies tonight.

=I'm going to go to the movies tonight.

We're going to the beach tomorrow.

=We're going to go to the beach tomorrow.

◇be going to ~

there are signs now that something is likely to

(사물의 경우)그럴 징조가 보이는것

Look at those dark clouds. It's going to rain.

I'm not feeling well. I think I'm going to be sick.

Be carefull! You're going to fall.

저 먹구름좀 봐. 비가 올거같애

나 컨디션이 안좋아. 나 아플거같애

조심해! 떨어지겠어!

※ will보다 쫌더 확률이 높다(막연하진 않다)

◇Often, you can use both will and be going to for making predictions.

둘다 쓰일수도 있어, 개인 또는 상황, 정황상 달라지며 두개를 너무 칼같이 따질필요없다.. 

I think it will rain tomorrow

= I think it's going to rain tomorrow.

Will they come to the party?

= Are they going to come to the party?

◇going to = gonna

going to 가 정말 많이 쓰이니까 구어체로 gonna를 많이 쓴다

I'm gonna drive to work tomorrow.

We're not gonna stay here any more.

내일 운전해서 출근할거야

우리 여기 더 안머무를 생각이야

◇be ~ing

future arrangements

you have already arranged to do something, often at a certain time or place

이미 약속이 돼있는거, 시간이나 장소가 확실히 정해진거

I'm meeting him at the airport tomorrow.

I'm going to the dentist on Friday.

We're having a meeting in the conference room next Monday.

그를 내일 공항에서 만나기로 (약속)했어

금요일에 치과 갈거야(예약했어)

다음주 월요일에 회의실에서 회의가 잡혔어요

He's not working tomorrow. The boss gave him the day off.

그는 내일 근무 안해. 사장님이 휴가줌

Are you doing anything this weekend?

이번주에 뭐 하는거 있니?(이번주에 무슨 약속 있니?)

What are you doing tonight?

오늘밤 뭐해?(오늘밤 약속 있니?)

◇both be going to and be ~ing  for future plans.

Are you meeting him tonight?

= Are you going to meet him tonight?

I'm staying at home this weekend.

=I'm going to stay at home this weekend.

◇ the simple present

schedules, programs and timetables.

The concert begins at 8:00 and ends at 10:00

What time does the plane arrive?

The course start next Wednesday.

◇예문

주말에 뭐 할거니?

나 오늘밤에 그와 함께 외출할거야

그들은 다음 주까지 떠나지 않을거야(일정 잡아놓은거임)

그 수업은 2시에 끝난다

What are you going to do on the weekend?

I'm going out with him tonight.

They aren't leaving until next week.

The class finishes at 2:00.

Mr. Cruz and David are talking together.

D : What are you going to do next week?

C : I'm going on vacation.

D : Great! Where are you going?

C: Hawaii. Are you going anywhere this year?

D : I'm not sure. Maybe we will visit friends in Singapore.
